is 30 too late?

Changing My life at 30 years old

They say your brain is fully developed at 25, but I’m convinced mine took a little longer—30 years, to be exact. Now that I’ve hit the big 3-0, it feels like I’m finally ready to take all the lessons life has thrown my way and create the life I truly desire. So, here I am, on a mission to level up in every possible way.

The goal? To improve my life overall. There are a few things I believe will get me there. Some are serious, and others might just be for fun—but hey, fun is essential for a good life, right? Anyway, here’s what I’ll be focusing on:

  • Earning a college degree (because apparently, being a lifelong learner is a thing).
  • Growing long, luscious hair (Rapunzel, I’m coming for you).
  • Changing my career path (because why stick to one thing when you can reinvent yourself?).
  • Eating 90% of my meals at home (made by me) (Chef Imani, reporting for duty).
  • Enjoying a weekly hobby (because all work and no play is just boring).
  • Living life (because what’s the point of all this if I’m not actually enjoying it?).

Now, I don’t know about you, but I have a hard time sticking to things—so, I’m turning to this blog and my YouTube channel to keep myself accountable. There’s nothing like the fear of failing in front of an audience to really motivate a procrastinator who’s mastered the art of avoidance.

I’ll be tracking my progress as best I can, and along the way, I’ll share some tips and tricks for anyone who’s also on a journey to improve their life. So, make sure to check out my first video and join me on this adventure!

Let’s make 30 (and beyond) the best years yet! 🎉
